Survey '06 your city your say

Dear Resident

As Mayor of the City of Ipswich, I know you are well-informed decision makers who want to keep up to date with what is developing in our City and help create an even better city.

As you know, there have been enormous changes and increased opportunities in Ipswich.  Our image has improved dramatically and the future looks very positive.  The City is continuing to take shape with great development and infrastructure and as always, a fantastic community spirit, spearheaded by many hard-working volunteers and energetic community groups.  It has been this Council’s strategy of working together in partnership with businesses and the community which has been a winning formula for our City.

However, there is still much work to be done. I want to know what you think about the job we have done so far.  Where can we improve and what is important to you?  This information is vital to help us continue to make Ipswich the best place to live.

If you are involved in community work around the City, I want to hear about it.  We have many unsung heroes working quietly in the background and I would like to know about all the people and organisations who help create the heart, soul and care in our community.

The people of Ipswich are my highest priority. I want to continue this journey of good leadership for the City so that our children can look forward to a great future. Their success will be based around our advanced educational facilities, which we have secured through Education City, the University of Southern Queensland, the University of Queensland and The Bremer Institute of TAFE, which has just won the State award for the best TAFE in Queensland.

Ipswich is respected as a place we can proudly call home. I look forward to your feedback so we can start the actions we need to achieve our vision so this vibrant City of Ipswich can continue to get even better.

Regards, Councillor Paul Pisasale
Mayor of the City of Ipswich
